A short Reading section in the same test engine our full TOEFL practice tests use: one Complete the Words paragraph and one Read in Daily Life post, then an instant score report with every answer explained.

Free Reading demo: 12 responses, about 6 minutes
You need: A keyboard and a mouse or trackpad. No audio.
No sign-up. The demo runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
The test frame is built for a computer screen, like the real TOEFL, which you take on a computer. On a phone it switches to a stacked layout. You can still start the demo here, or open this page on a laptop for the full view.
What’s in the Reading demo
The demo is a short Reading section with the same screens, rules and score report as our full-length tests. These are its tasks:
Read a social media post and answer 2 questions about it.
2
Screen by screen
Section directions list the two task types and how many answers each one needs.
Complete the Words shows one paragraph with 10 gaps. Type only the missing letters; each box has one space per letter.
Read in Daily Life shows the post beside one question at a time. Back and Next move between questions in this module.
Leaving the module is final, as on test day. The demo then ends and opens your score report.
How the demo is scored
Every Reading answer is objective, so the report scores all 12 responses the moment you finish. Complete the Words shows the paragraph with each gap marked correct, incorrect or not answered, the full word, and an explanation for each one you missed. Read in Daily Life marks your choice, the correct choice, and why the other options are wrong.
The demo’s report covers only these questions. It is practice feedback, not an official TOEFL score or band.
What the full TOEFL practice tests add
The demo is a slice of the real product. With the Test Ninjas TOEFL plan you get this engine with 5 full-length practice tests and 32 section tests in the 2026 format, plus the full course of 41 lessons that teaches each task type, with guided practice on these same task screens. Reading and Listening are scored instantly; Writing and Speaking come with the rubric and model answers to compare against.
Want the full-length tests?
5 full-length TOEFL practice tests, 32 section tests and 41 lessons, in the same engine as this demo.
Yes. The demo loads the Test Ninjas TOEFL player itself: the same test frame, task screens, navigation rules and score report. The demo runs a short, fixed set of questions in your browser instead of a full section.
About 6 minutes: one Complete the Words paragraph (10 answers) and one Read in Daily Life post (2 questions). There is no countdown in the demo, so you can take your time.
Within the Reading module, yes: Back returns to earlier questions, including the Complete the Words paragraph. Once you leave the module you cannot return, which matches the real test.
All 12 answers are scored automatically as soon as you finish. The report lists each one with the correct answer and an explanation. It is a practice score for these questions, not an official TOEFL band.
No. The demo runs entirely in your browser and nothing you type is sent to Test Ninjas. Closing the tab clears it.
