The requirement came back with applicants for fall 2026, ending the test-optional policy the university adopted during the pandemic. Only the SAT or ACT counts; AP and IB scores cannot stand in for them. A few groups may still apply with or without scores: applicants to performance programs in the Frost School of Music, BFA applicants in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Architecture applicants, and students graduating from a high school outside the United States. You can self-report scores on the Common App or the applicant portal, and only admitted students who enroll send official reports. The university superscores both tests and does not require the ACT science section.
